In the days of grief and shock we are in, since the October 7 disaster and the war raging in the south and north, we have chosen to deal with the pain and difficulty by running art therapy workshops for the victims of the war.
We create with the residents of the Western Negev and the residents of the norther border In the springs of the Negev, on the Sde Boker campus of Ben Gurion University and in the town,
The work and the stage we give it, allows communities and individuals to make their voice heard through art and point to the sources of strength that give them strength of mind and tools to deal with the difficult situation,
We chose to discuss "water in the desert" from the concept that sharing this positive view will give strength and a strengthened observation on life, even to those who have lost hope.
The products of the art therapy workshops and the inspiration sessions we hold are frequently uploaded to the growing gallery on the website and in physical exhibition spaces. (The inspiration sessions take place in Teva and at the Zuckerberg Desert Water Research Institute).
Among other things, we developed a practical workshop for creating wish fish, the wish fish will be sold for the production of more free workshops.
about
"Water in the desert" team
Our team consists of people from different fields, educators, nannies who believe that art has a relaxing and corrective power.
We are here because we believe in the power of art to bring about change and create reality, to give people strength and light in difficult and dark days, to deal with "what is" and process the sorrow for what was taken and destroyed.
To connect people and become stronger through a powerful language in which communication does not necessarily need words. Our goal is to give students from the Western Negev, from the Nova party and students evacuated from the north, a therapeutic response through a piece of work, which will be presented in an ongoing exhibition and to initiate diverse activities that enable a connection between the partners in the process.
